Jessica Koester is a member of APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers), ABMA (Animal Behavior Management Alliance), and NACSW (National Association of Canine Scent Work).
In 2013 she received her KPA CTP (Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner) certification and completed her CNWI (Certified Nose Work Instructor) through the NACSW.
In 2012 she received her ABCDT certification (ABC Dog Trainer) with honors. In addition she is a licensed A.K.C. Canine Good Citizen, S.T.A.R. Puppy Evaluator and APDT C.L.A.S.S. Evaluator and Instructor. She is currently very active in canine agility and nose work and is working on becoming TAG Teach certified.
Jessica has been privately training both dogs and horses, of all ages and breeds, since 2006. She has been a dog owner all her life, including owning one show dog.
Jessica and her husband Brad currently own two dogs, a Chihuahua/Poodle mix names Leo, and a smooth coated Border Collie named Uriel.
Jessica was a pre-vet student for three years, while studying at the University of Missouri-Columbia (MIZZOU), before deciding to focus on a different area within the Animal Science Department.
In 2010 she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, as well as a Minor in Equine Science via a dual enrollment at Stephens College.
