Is the Entire Dog Training Program Online?
Naturally, real-world experience is necessary when learning to train dogs, so not all of the program is online. Students complete the first 9 stages of the 11-stage program online, then have an opportunity to practice their skills.
First, each student volunteers a minimum of ten hours at an animal shelter. Students practice training basic obedience to shelter animals in order to make them more adoptable.
After that each ABC dog training student begins a local externship. Over the years, the school has built an impressive network of professional dog trainers and mentor facilities throughout the United States and Canada. By combining online coursework with volunteer hours and a hands-on externship with a local mentor, ABC provides a solid foundation for our students. Our graduates leave the program certified dog trainers with the confidence to succeed.
