Profile: Keith Michael has a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Ph.D. He is a member of APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and an approved Trainer/Evaluator for the AKC S.T.A.R. AKC Puppy Program and for the Canine Good Citizen Programs.
Keith Michael graduated with Honors from Animal Behavior College, completing special studies in ABC’s Shelter Dog Program and spending a year volunteering at a local animal shelter.
He has spent more than 25 years training dogs of all kinds including several years for the Midland Michigan Kennel Club, an AKC Licensed Organization.
He now operates TopDog School in Midland teaching group and individual classes. He makes house calls to deal with the special needs of problem dogs.
Classes are available in puppy performance, beginning obedience, intermediate and advanced obedience, social skills for the dog at all levels, behavior modification for dogs with problems and leadership skills for the handler/owner. He also offers classes in scent work for dogs including human tracking.
Keith Michael utilizes positive methods and is not satisfied unless the dog and handler are relaxed and having fun.
