As an animal lover, I never use physical punishment, having confidence that every dog can, and will, learn with guided verbal instruction.
In order to train your dog to keep in mind that this is also an instructive exercise for you! Your dog can’t learn what you don’t know. So come prepared to learn new skills for yourself as well.
