I am a recently retired public school teacher with 10 years of experience working with dogs. I started volunteering with Austin Pets Alive! shortly after my first dog passed 10 years ago. Since then, I have continued to walk and train dogs as well as mentor new volunteers for APA!
I utilized some of my downtime during the pandemic to get certified as a dog trainer through Animal Behavior College. Since then, I have worked at PetSmart as a dog trainer teaching everything from Potty Training and Separation Anxiety classes to Advanced Obedience classes.
I have two rescue dogs of my own who inspire me daily to continue my quest to serve dogs and the people who love them!
