Amanda Brown

I have been in the animal industry for 20 years. Started out in 4-H in high school. During college, I volunteered at shelters and therapy riding school. My first job in the industry was as veterinarian assistant and kennel techinican. I was the sole employee of a hunter/jumper barn feeding, cleaning stalls, turn out, blanketing, holding for vet/farrier. I got involved with the grooming side of things when I was hired on as a bather/groomers assistant, which evolved into a management position leading a staff of 20 in all aspects of the business including but not limited to boarding, daycare, grooming, bathing, and retail. While managing that business, I realized I couldn’t help or do the actual groomer’s job, so I came to ABC and learned how to. Since then I have been grooming and realized I actually enjoyed “the never normal day”!!!
